Internal Quality Assurance Committee (IQAC)

This committee shall oversee the 

(a) IQAC 

(b) Grievances Readdress and 

(c) Internal Academic Audit

  1. Internal Quality Assurance Committee (IQAC)

IQAC in the institution was constituted in the academic year 2019 with a view to initiate, plan and supervise different activities which are important to maintain and improve the quality of education imparted, which is well defined in the quality policy of the institution. It also functions as the committee for Monitoring and Grievances Readdress. IQAC has member representatives from the top management and coordinators of the college for getting diversified suggestions for continuous improvement. IQAC is a significant body of the institution which monitors the process of teaching, learning and evaluation. It takes the responsibility of generating and promoting awareness in the institution regarding multi -level quality sustenance activities and implementing new ones for attaining excellence.

  1. Grievances Readdress 

IQAC is vested with the authority to settle any type of grievances raised by the students, teachers and non-teaching staff of the college. The students ought to lodge their grievances to their respective tutors, and they in turn intimates the matter to the committee for necessary action. Students are not encouraged to petition the Campus Chief, initially. They have to avail the avenue provided by the grievance readdress cell and then the Campus Chief, if the grievances are not redressed.

  1. Internal Academic Audit 

The main objective of an academic audit is to ascertain departments have put in place adequate and effective quality assurance mechanisms in terms of strategies, procedures, their applicability, that ensures quality inputs and consequently quality outputs; their agility in ensuring continuous improvements along with review of available resources, their optimal utilization, additional resource requirements for providing quality education. 

Objectives;

The objective of IQAC is to ensure quality standards in teaching, learning and evaluation patterns and related activities. IQAC shall administer various new academic activities to supplement the existing practices. Further, it shall encourage activities in the co-curricular and extra-curricular spheres. The primary objective of a college's audit committee is to provide oversight of the financial reporting process, the audit process, the company's system of internal controls and compliance with laws and regulations.

Terms of Reference (ToR);                   

  1. Developing ethical work culture in the College.

  2. Improving the academic and administrative performance of the College.

  3. Organizing inter and intra Institutional Workshops, Seminars, Project Exhibition and Research activities.

  4. Playing as a nodal agency of the college for coordinating various activities ensuring quality including adoption and dissemination of best methods and practices.

  5. Ensuring a learner-centric ambience conducive for quality education and for continual improvement.

  6. Emphasize faculty expertise to adopt the knowledge, technology and innovations for participatory teaching and learning process.

  7. Inviting suggestions and recommendations from students, parents and stakeholders on quality emphasizing institutional policies & processes. 

  8. Documentation of all the activities leading to quality improvement.

  9. To advise the CMC on the adequacy and effectiveness of the systems of internal control and its arrangements for risk management, control and efficiency and effectiveness. 

  10. To set quality performance indicators in domains of education, research and administration pertaining to departments/programs and other units of the Institution.

  11. To develop benchmarks for quality performance indicators. 

  12. To develop strategies to design and implement quality performance evaluation indicators such as:

    1. self-evaluation forms for faculty members and executives reflecting their teaching-learning pedagogy;

    2. stakeholders’ feedback assessment; 

    3. periodic academic and administrative audit;

  13. To develop strategies to improve quality.

  1. To ensure quality of academic programs.

  2. To integrate modern methods of teaching and learning and monitor its effect on the student’s performance. 

  3. To instil confidence and credibility of evaluation procedure among stakeholders

Tenure: 

This is a permanent nature of Committee. However, working period of this committee is five years i.e., effective from the date of formation.

Meeting Procedures:

The committee shall be chaired by the Campus Chief and shall follow up on what has been approved and its recommendations. The committee shall meet as deemed necessary. Meetings shall be held as per the need of issues. The committee can change their working procedures before approval by CMC meeting.
